The Santa Barbara Jazz Society is excited to present singer Mon David on Sunday, May 15 from 1 to 3:30pm at SOhO. Noted for his wide and advanced vocal range, David is a Filipino-American jazz vocalist who has studied the vocal art of all the great jazz artists and has come up with his own progressive singing style and techniques. In 2006 he won the London International Jazz Vocal Competition besting 106 contestants from 27 countries. He has performed at jazz festivals world wide including the North Sea Jazz Festival and many local LA clubs such as the Jazz Bakery, Catalina Jazz Bar, and Charlie O’s. Admission to the event is $15 fir Jazz Society members, $25 for non-members, and $7 for local jazz musicians and full-time students with membership. Setting is limited so plan to arrive early.
